About

I’m Dr Sharon Evans, poultry Veterinarian. I’m passionate about poultry health and welfare, and about providing Veterinary services for pet poultry and small backyard flocks.

I currently work with both commercial chickens and pet poultry (chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, quail).

  • Saves your birds the stress of a visit to a Vet practice. I can treat sick birds or provide general health checks in the comfort of your garden - for clients in Bristol and the surrounding areas.

    Multiple birds or problems can be checked in a single visit. I provide clear, practical treatment advice, friendly, supportive care, and offer training when needed in tasks such as bandaging or giving medication for all backyard poultry.

  • I can prescribe medications, perform basic surgery (under local anaesthetic) , and perform gentle home euthanasia.

    I can also provide general preventative health advice, carry out flock health checks, and prepare health plans, including advice on lice, mites, worming, husbandry, behaviour, nutrition etc.

  • Lice and mites are common parasites found on chickens. The treatments are different, so you need to correctly identify the correct one.
